Sometimes we need to UNfollow people on social media (yes, even if you like them as a person).
If you find yourself feeling dread, anxiety, fear, hopelessness, grief, stress, anger, heaviness, etc. when you read someone’s posts, that’s probably a great indicator that those posts are not enhancing your life, so there’s no need for them to stick around.
You can respect the person and not carry their posts with you.
It’s worth working through the burden that their post(s) brought you, but there’s no need to keep inflicting that on yourself.
