6776 pounds.
.
✔That’s more than twice the weight of the average vehicle.
✔It’s more than an entire African forest elephant.
✔It’s almost 7 times the weight of a grand piano.
.
?It’s also the amount that I single-handedly (well, with my two hands) moved at the gym in one session.
.
? 30 minutes. 168 individual movements. Weights ranging from 12 to 80 pounds.
.
? No records were broken, and I can assure you nothing visibly changed in my body.
.
BUT, I’m stronger because of it, and I’m proud of it ?
.
❓What if you let yourself look at the COMPOUND effect of your actions instead of focusing on the teeny tiny actions themselves?
.
❓What if you shifted your perspective on those “mundane” actions that you’re taking?
.
Here’s the thing:
?Looking at the weights didn’t make me stronger.
?Thinking about lifting them didn’t make me stronger.
?Knowing what lifting weights can do didn’t make me stronger.
.
?️‍♀️ It took me actually lifting the dang things up (repetitively), and it has taken consistent dedication at the gym, for me to actually be getting stronger.
.
? Let life be your gym and SHOW UP FOR IT!
.
You wanna grow strength?
.
⬆️Start lifting, my friend (i.e. tackle your fears head on, and don’t let them drive your decisions).
⬆️Rest periods matter (i.e. don’t be in constant build mode without rejuvenating).
⬆️Proper form matters (i.e. be intentional, not willy nilly with things).
⬆️Hydration matters (i.e. drink water – this is just helpful across the board).
.
Go get ‘em!
