😴Here are some of my favorite keys to catch some Zzzzs (aka how to sleep soundly on the regular 😉)!
👉Get things out of your brain so you don’t waste space and mental energy on odds and ends. I send myself emails or plug things directly into my project management software or calendar where applicable.
👉Talk to God about what’s swirling in your mind
👉Ask Him to give you answers in your dreams
👉Fully utilize your brain power during the day towards productive actions. Stagnant brains don’t encourage sound sleep.
👉Speak these things over yourself:
✨I’m going to get the perfect amount of sleep tonight
✨I got the perfect amount of sleep last night
✨I’m such a good sleeper
✨Oooooh, I’m going to sleep so well tonight
Then there are the super obvious tips:
🆇 Don’t drink caffeine too late in the day
🆇 Hydrate well during the day and cut liquids off a couple of hours before bed so you’re not needing to get up in the middle of the night
🆇 Turn off electronics / screens at least an hour before bed
🆇 Block out all light
🆇 Plan your day ahead of time so you can get to bed and allow enough time for proper sleep
💤 for the win! We all need it. Our own bodies benefit from it when we each sleep soundly. And we all benefit from it when YOU sleep soundly, too!
