Yep. What we’re looking at here is a radical #sunburn ?☀️? Ain’t no undoing this. Yikes!
.
Yes, it hurts. And, yes, I used sunscreen. #SPF50. Waterproof. Sweatproof. But apparently it took the afternoon off while I was in Santa Monica ?Not ideal, but there’s no going back.
.
That’s life sometimes though. We can’t change the past, but we can address what’s in the present. For this, I’m moisturizing/hydrating like crazy and trying to keep anything from rubbing against it so as to hopefully (?) prevent blisters/peeling.
.
For some of you, it may not be an actual, tangible sunburn – but there may be another wound from a past injury that’s still causing you pain. It’s not comfortable, or convenient, but addressing it head on and CHOOSING to do what you can to help it heal well is a GIFT ? you can give yourself.
.
You may not be able to prevent injuries, even when you try to be proactive (☝️ exhibit A), but it doesn’t mean you should let the wounds they cause fester because you’re upset that they happened.
.
“It shouldn’t have happened how it did!” isn’t a valid reason to ignore the fact that it did happen.
.
Take care of yourself – even if there have been times in the past where it felt pointless. It’s not. And you’re worth the effort!

.
I should buy stock ? in #aloevera. I’m single-handedly building that empire with how much I’m using. Re-applying what feels like every 30 minutes. Sheesh. No blisters yet though, so…. worth it ??
