Yep. What we’re looking at here is a radicalย #sunburnย ๐ณโ๏ธ๐ฅ Ain’t no undoing this. Yikes!
.
Yes, it hurts. And, yes, I used sunscreen.ย #SPF50. Waterproof. Sweatproof. But apparently it took the afternoon off while I was in Santa Monica ๐Not ideal, but there’s no going back.
.
That’s life sometimes though. We can’t change the past, but we can address what’s in the present. For this, I’m moisturizing/hydrating like crazy and trying to keep anything from rubbing against it so as to hopefully (๐ค) prevent blisters/peeling.
.
For some of you, it may not be an actual, tangible sunburn – but there may be another wound from a past injury that’s still causing you pain. It’s not comfortable, or convenient, but addressing it head on and CHOOSING to do what you can to help it heal well is a GIFT ๐ you can give yourself.
.
You may not be able to prevent injuries, even when you try to be proactive (โ๏ธ exhibit A), but it doesn’t mean you should let the wounds they cause fester because you’re upset that they happened.
.
“It shouldn’t have happened how it did!” isn’t a valid reason to ignore the fact that it did happen.
.
Take care of yourself – even if there have been times in the past where it felt pointless. It’s not. And you’re worth the effort!
.
I should buy stock ๐ inย #aloevera. I’m single-handedly building that empire with how much I’m using. Re-applying what feels like every 30 minutes. Sheesh. No blisters yet though, so…. worth it ๐๐
