It’s amazing what quiet spaces, a waterfront view, and a word from God can do in your life ❤
.
? I recently spent such a morning writing down questions I have for God, and He’s been so sweet to be answering them since.
.
❓”Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.” Matthew 7:7-8, The Passion Translation
.
To be honest, that time of asking questions felt sort of awkward. You know, like a first date that’s just, sort of…?‍♀️?‍♀️?
.
☺ But since then, I’m refreshed, well-rested and have been allowing myself to step out of “performance mode” lately and simply be. Simply enjoy what God’s blessed me with. And simply get to know Him more.
.
And I’m learning to trust Him in new ways, in all things … and sometimes it causes me to want to get back into doing things my way because I’m used to things happening in a specific time frame (hi ? I’m an accountability coach for a reason ?) and God doesn’t always work in *our* time frame.
.
? Trusting in His perfect time is not something I’m used to, and it feels like learning a new skill. I see that it’s possible for others. I know I’m capable of it. Yet, I’m in those awkward beginning stages of feeling clumsy. I’m figuring out how to have grace for myself as I grow in this

Friend, if I can encourage you in one thing today, it’s to set aside time to just be with God.
Ask.
Seek.
Knock.
Welcome Him in and experience His Presence. It is peaceful. His perfect love drives out ALL fear. I dare you to let Him ease away your burdens and release your tensions. Melt into Him. Show up as you are. You be you. Let God be God ?
.
Be still and know that He is God.
