DEAR HUBBY, I bought you a shirt today
and I know you’re gonna make it look SO good!.
“But you don’t even know who your husband is.” You’re right. But I did it to bolster my faith, not to build his wardrobe.
“But you don’t even know if it will fit him.” You’re right. But I’m believing he will fill it with his broad shoulders and large stature.
“But you don’t even know his style.” You’re right. But I’m believing he’ll be open to trying it on and giving it a chance.
“But you don’t even know if it’s a good color for him.” You’re right. But I’m believing that it will be.
“But isn’t there a chance he’ll think that’s weird?” You’re right. But I’m believing that he’ll see my heart in this, and feel special that he was part of my life before he was actually part of my life.
. In the meantime, I’ll be wearing it at home
In the meantime, it’ll be another nudge to pray over my man
In the meantime, I’ll be looking forward to the day when I can pick one of his actual shirts out of his actual closet and just lounge with him
In the meantime, it’ll be a sweet reminder of what’s to come
.
I don’t know who my husband is yet, but here’s what I already know for sure about him: He’s alive (cheeky, but true)
People already know him (just like people already know his wife)
God’s prepping him (and me) for an epic + healthy marriage together
He gets prayed over regularly (by yours truly, and I’m believing by others, too!)
He is generous enough to let me wear his shirts (at least this one…for now, LOL)
. DEAR HUBBY, I’m sure excited to meet you! Meanwhile, keep on enjoying your life, and I’m gonna keep on enjoying mine, and I’ll meet ya’ when I meet ya’
. Cheers to our lifetime together
Dear, Hubby (November 13, 2020 edition)
