I was 38 just a few days ago.
And then it happened.
39 showed up and a new season began.
It was a quiet day.
It’s been an under-the-radar year.
It has felt immensely … subtle.
A weightiness that’s *known* but not yet seen.
Growth happens underground, after all, where it’s not visible.
It can be tempting to picture a date – a marker moment in time – and imagine that precisely when the clock turns, things will dramatically shift and we’ll enter into a brand new experience.
I’ve found that’s not the case.
More often than not, change is only visible after the fact, but it’s rarely tangible in the moment.
If you, like me, are still believing for things you’ve not yet seen – but maybe your hope has grown dim – can I encourage you to keep believing?
Keep showing up.
Keep celebrating when others share their victories.
Keep reaching out and grabbing hold of faith.
Keep believing.
The very sweetest, best, most rewarding things in life take time.
The richest flavor profiles don’t come from a microwave.
They’ve simmered.
They’ve percolated.
They’ve rested.
They’ve absorbed.
They’ve aged.
What you’re believing for is only drawing nearer.
You’re closer than you’ve ever been, and more prepared than ever to run with it once it arrives!
38 was a “deep beneath the soil” kind of year.
39, I’m expecting to see some “above the ground” activity now that our roots are strong and ready!
