What is success, anyway?
.
To SOME, I am NOT successful because:
*I don’t have 7-figures in my bank account. *I’m 34 and single.
*I depend on a God that they do not know.
*I don’t have a laundry list of accolades to show off my accomplishments.
*I live alone with a cat.
.
.
.
To OTHERS, I AM successful because:
*I’ve been able to create an incredible life without millions.
*I’ve mastered this whole “strong, independent woman” thing at only 34 years of age.
*I depend on that same, incredible God who knows each of us, intimately (whether we choose Him or not).
*I practice humility and don’t strive towards awards.
*of the fact that I DO live alone with a cat.
.
You get the picture….
*There will always be “some” AND “others” in our lives.
*There will always be people who point out why you’re “not successful” (and why you never will be) and people who look up to you with complete admiration, wishing to live the life you have.
.
*Who are you listening to? Who are you basing your value on? If you’re basing it on the “some” people in your life, I encourage you to stop it. Immediately. THEY’RE NOT FOR YOU. They don’t actually want you to succeed ??
.
Listen to God’s loving voice. Let Him tell you what success is. And let Him guide you to it in your own life. It will look different for all of us, and it’s going to be beautiful, powerful, and everlasting when you let Him take the lead!
